Automation on steel cables

As part of a development project for a customer, SITEMA is moving away from the usual round rod and is now clamping thin steel wire ropes. We have developed an electrically driven special clamp that can hold onto thin steel wire ropes, generating a holding force of 200 N on a rope with a diameter of 3 mm.

This compact device can be used in any application where you have only one pull system, but need to move different elements in different configurations. With the help of the new SiRope clamp, you can for example attach elements A and B to the pull rope, whereas C is decoupled and does not move. You can then decouple A and B, couple C, and move it e.g. the other way. SITEMA sees further application potential in stage or event technology. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us.

You can find further technical details in our flyer, which you can download here or by clicking on the preview image.

We are looking forward to answering any questions you may have about the new SiRail clamp for thin steel wire ropes, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
